lvlln // I had asked for harem antics, and I got harem antics, but not at all what I had hoped for. Godou’s harem has finally filled out with Ena, but I’m not sure why she’s here. She just showed up out of nowhere. I don’t have much of a feel for the character yet, but she’ll probably end up another pretty but boring face like the other haremettes. How sad to see Liliana fall victim to yet another cliche, becoming a transfer student just to stay close to Godou, whom she now pampers and fawns over during lunch. Please give me a break. And even the girl-on-girl action, which the show has generally been good at, was poor in this episode. The showdown between Ena and Erica at the end had lots of janky animation and recycled frames, lacking the exciting choreography and direction that we’ve come to expect. Come on, now’s not the time to mess up on the one thing the show’s been doing right on occasion. I hope that they were holding back the good stuff from this setup episode for the next one, because Campione! needs to put up a better showing that what it did here.

Also, what’s Athena’s obsession with Godou? There are plenty of other Greek goddesses the show could moe-fy that I’d love to see. Can’t we have the beautiful Aphrodite or the sporty Artemis join Godou’s harem instead of the loli snake constantly coming back?

Jrow // I certainly would not have expected an episode of Dakara like this, one filled with hopelessness with a tone that is pretty opposite of the rest of the series as the tension builds toward the end. I recently have written less than positive thoughts about the show’s progression, but now with the stakes riding so high thanks to Darunia’s presence, most of episode 10 managed to reel me back into the story. Lisara’s true feelings are obvious, but are she and Ryosuke the OTP? Or is Mina as the “special specimen” the one for him?

Ryosuke’s got it pretty sweet. Oh wait, the world is ending and it’s his fault… nvm.

Ryosuke’s cheating ways were working so well! He got a little premature in his excitement and it’s disappointing that the show has such a perverted obsession with only Lisara’s body. It’s decent as just an anime, but it’s ecchi component has been mostly a one-trick pony.

Because a weekly Lisara nudity quota needs meeting.

Fosh // The terrible adventures of Akasuki continue and this week provides us with lots of random developments for Miu also I think Phil actually transformed into some kind of celestial white dragon? Yeah I know what the hell? I literay could not stop laughing after that scene and hey I admit the dragon did look kind of interesting for an overall design; however there were plenty of shots that made me face palm! I have no idea what the designers for the dragon wanted? I think they just slapped together a few animals and decided to run with it. Other than the massive dragon suddenly appearing I lost my mind once again when out of nowhere Akatsuki pops up smacks the dragon with his magical motorcycle saving Miu from another possible rape scene with Phil! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT GUY! Seriously stop trying to rape that poor demon girl already and DIE! Overall I was pleased to see Miu actually use her demonic powers even though she failed and it was actually great to see all of the girls team up to fight together like Kuzuha? I love that awesome hammer she swings around. So what anime has the best human character fighting a dragon? Personally my money goes straight to Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, but of course if you haven’t seen that series you probably should give it a shot

Kara // …I don’t know why, but I was convinced that this episode would be the last one. It makes no sense since it’s numbered 10 and I can’t remember any anime that’s ended on 10. Maybe it was my subconscious trying wanting me to be rid of this already. …………….. Anyways, Shougo proves his girl knowledge IQ is in the negatives once again by actually needing someone to tell him that he needs to stop the harem and that Miyabi likes him. She tried to sleep with you naked a couple episodes back. That generally means something. Though with the revelation between her and Sagara, could Miyabi be the imouto? I have to admit that Yuzurina seems suspicious. My main question with this whole thing though is if Yuzurina isn’t the imouto, why the hell didn’t Sagara say anything? Sagara is probably THE one person who knows who the real imouto is. If you knew someone was lying about something like this, wouldn’t you think it was suspicious and say something? If that is the case though, I bet Sugara will just say that she was trying to protect the real imouto. Sigh. Other than that problem though, this episode was actually decent. I didn’t think Miyabi could be so… dere (I think I say this every episode that revolves around tsunderes). Though that might have just been the effects of the alcohol.
